About the Poway SDA Church

Nestled in North County San Diego, we, the members of the Poway SDA Church, are an active church family who cares about its people and the community within which we fellowship.

Get to Know Jesus as a Personal Friend

The Poway Seventh-day Adventist Church strives to provide a safe place in which to worship. We desire to grow individually and together in an abundant, joy-filled relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord. We invite you to join us as we get to know Jesus as a personal friend.

Multi-Cultural Congregation

We is a multi-cultural congregation, representing over a dozen nationalities. We give focus to our cultural diversity frequently during family interviews, as well as during our annual International Sabbath and potluck. We welcome all who fellowship with us. We actively welcome people from all cultures because that is how we feel Heaven will be.

Sabbath School for All Ages

We offer Sabbath Classes for toddlers, school age children, pre-teens, teens, and adults. A typical Sabbath morning class includes singing, activities appropriate to the age, interaction, and sharing. Sabbath School starts at 9:30 a.m. and runs until 10:40 a.m.

Worship Services Filled with Singing & Praise

The Worship service begins 10:50 a.m. with singing and announcements. At 11 a.m. we have greeting time, prayer, offering, children's story, special music, scripture reading followed by the sermon. At Poway SDA, we're always blessed with a variety of music from guest and member vocalists and musicians. We also enjoy musical participation from the children's divisions.

Valuing Our Children

Children are the heart of the Poway Seventh-day Adventist Church. The children, youth, and young adults are invited to participate in the church service, and to get involved in leadership and performing regular duties.

Active Ministries and Social Gatherings

At Poway SDA, we offer a variety of activities and service opportunities in which to be involved, such as Women's Ministries, Vacation Bible School, Pathfinders, Adventurers, Bible study, music, and evangelism. We also have social activities scheduled throughout the year. Even though we are small in number with an average of 50-75 regular attendees, we are mighty because everyone gets in to help -- and we're here because we love the Lord.

What We Believe

Our foundational beliefs in the Seventh-day Adventist Church are founded on Bible-based teachings. Our mission is that we are a church family who cares for people, based on the scripture in 1 John 1:3. Our vision is that we worship and grow so that we can continue to invite others into a personal relationship with Jesus and carry the gospel of the Good News of Salvation by Faith to those around us.
